This explanation works for copying pages within a space or to another space.

  • Go to the page you want to copy, and use the Edit...Copy this page... function (after logging in).
  • Go to the location area of the page, just below the "Minor Change" box that you should click in order to avoid sending a "watch" email message to all "watchers" of the page.
  • Drag-and-drop to the spot in the hierarchy in the same space. Otherwise, pick another space to make the copy in.
  • If you have chosen another space, you will need to edit the page in the new space and change its location in the hierarchy at that point.

Keep in mind that sometimes it is easier to copy the Rich Text or Wiki Markup contents of an old page into a new one rather than copy the full page. This would be particularly true with pages with attachments since they would be copied with the original page.

Play in the Sandbox space if you want to practice.
