Anonymous Access

Everyone may view pages in the PIUG Space without logging in.

You must login in order to add or edit content such as creating new topics or replying to existing topics in the Discussion Forum.

New users must signup for the wiki before they can login.

Initial Signup

The Sign Up link is included in the top menu bar when users are not already logged in and on the bottom of the login page. PIUG wiki username and password is completely independent of any others that you have used for PIUG member access on the PIUG website or for 123Signup membership access.

Three issues for new signup:

1. Username -- Use your name or recognizable alias, e.g. jsmith, as your username. Please do not use a space within your username.
2. Email address -- PIUG members should use the same email address for the wiki as they do for their PIUG membership in order to access members-only functionality and content on the wiki. Either can be changed at a later date.
3. Passwords must be at least 6 characters and include at least one numeral and one letter.

Sign up is simple process involving email validation and approval by the wikimaster. Approval will not be delayed for people who use company email addresses or are otherwise recognized by the wikimaster. Otherwise, to avoid delay, please send an email message to the wikimaster with your company affiliation and a brief explanation of your interest in patent information; if you don't, expect to respond to a personal verification email message from the wikimaster.
