The implementation and status of the proposed new Sequence Listing standard (ST. 26) has been essentially "frozen" since public comments submitted in the middle of last year raised questions which require additional time to address. As a result, scheduled adoption has been pushed back to 2014, rather than 2013 as initially anticipated. Prior to this announcement, Intellectual Property Today magazine published my article which outlined some of the proposed changes to the Sequence Listing standard, as well as various public comments discussing the PROS and CONS of these changes.

Attached are Parts I and II of this article which may be interesting to those wondering exactly why ST. 26 has been delayed. Please feel free to add your thoughts to this thread. Part I.pdf & Part II.pdf
