Does anyone know how I can gain access to USSR Inventor's Certificates older than 1973? (Those are the oldest I can find on Espacenet - I was able to get more recent ICs as SU #s for 1973 to present)  I specifically need:

1)USSR Inventor's Certificate 199,311.

2) USSR Inventor's Certificate 268,385.

3)USSR Inventor's Certificate 251,552.

Thanks

      Donna/Mikk,

Yes, Russian Patent Office [FIPS] offer SU inventors certificates could be retrieved from [RUPAT_OLD INVENTIONS (RETROSPECTIVE DB[)] but this database is not free (an user needs to open an account with FIPS and make a deposit before using this and other fee-based databases).

So you could consider a commercial document delivery service for ordering of old USSR Inventor's Certificates.

Note: Several  databases (but not RUPAT_OLD) are available with guest/guest user ID/password at FIPS website:
Patents and Utility Models (rus.)
Abstracts russian patents 1994-2009 (rus.) (include also abstracts of published RU patent applications)
New full russian patents (rus.) (from the last issue of the Official Gazette)
New utility models (rus.) (from the last issue of the Official Gazette)
      | Utility models 1994-2009 (rus.) || Abstracts russian patents 1994-2009 (engl.) (RU patents only, no RU applications |

    Hi Donna, Hi All,

Soviet (SU - certificates and patents) you can retrieve in open registers for free.

Unfortunately they accesible only in russian.

I attached your numbers. Check them if any problems appears tell me ASAP.

Another option is CD-DVD collection of SU-RU documents operated under MIMOSA.

Tell me if new questions or problems with patents or FSC (CIS) countries appears.

    Olex
