Can the wiki pages be indexed and be findable through Google and the like?

    Don:

    The answer is YES.

As of December 1, 2008, there are at least 170 wiki pages indexed by Google. You can confirm this by searching Google using this trivial search strategy: patent site:wiki.piug.org. This appears to pick up every page in the main PIUG Space as well as personal profile and personal space pages.

Only pages in the main PIUG wiki space and other open spaces, such as the Sandbox and Demonstration spaces, are accessible to search engines and to internet users without registering. Individual pages, such as those designated for members-only viewing, can be restricted from search engines as appropriate. All closed PIUG wiki spaces, i.e. committtee, task force, board and other team spaces, are not accessible except to team members by invitation from space administrators, and are not indexed by search engines.

    Thanks for asking the question.
