Terms of Use
Welcome to the PIUG wiki.
Use your name or recognizable alias as your username, e.g. jsmith, john_smith, john.smith. Please do not include a space in your username, but other punctuation such as periods, hyphens and underscore characters are acceptable.
Your password must contain at least 8 characters including one number and letter. Use of mixed case and other characters (@, _, -, +, £, $, etc.) is recommended but not required.
After you sign up, you will need to verify your email address by responding to an automated email message sent to your email address. After verification, a PIUG wiki administrator will approve your sign-up request as long as your connection to the patent community is clear from your full name and email address. Otherwise, you will be asked by the administrator in an email message to clarify your connection to patent information, such as by providing your professional title and business affiliation. This additional information will not become public unless you choose to provide it in your PIUG wiki or membership profiles.
After log in, you will be able to create, edit, and comment on pages and forum topics throughout the PIUG space, the main area of PIUG collaboration.
PIUG membership helps support the PIUG wiki and confers additional benefits including access to members-only information (e.g., presentations at PIUG conferences, Newsletter archives, subscription discounts, etc.), and the options to create a Personal Space on the PIUG wiki or be included in the PIUG LinkedIn group.
The annual membership fee is US$50. A discounted annual membership fee of US$25 is available to full-time students, full-time retirees, individuals unemployed at the time of renewal, and individuals from emerging countries (as defined by the World Bank). See the membership page for details.
