Brett is the leader of IP team responsible for managing global IP development and protection for a US manufacturer of plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting technology. His practice focuses on the worldwide development and enforcement the company’s patent and trademark portfolio, including overseeing global litigations as well as counterfeit investigations and raids. Brett is part of the Hypertherm’s Engineering Steering Team and leads innovation development projects for the organization. He manages patent portfolio of 300+ domestic and international patents, worldwide enforcement of IP portfolio, including issues in U.S., Asia, Europe, and South America and development of in-house IP management tools and procedures across multiple technology lines.

Roger’s practice focuses on assisting corporate clients reduce costs and adopt efficient processes in the development of their IP portfolios. Prior to ITIP, Roger was the Head of Intellectual Property at Rolls-Royce Corporation - Americas, the Chief Patent Counsel for Dow Corning Corporation, and an Examiner at the USPTO. He is the 2016 Chair for the IPO subcommittee on International Filing Strategy & Cost Management and a member in the Association of Corporate Patent Counsel (ACPC).
