Hi everyone,

STN is running the following e-Seminar in April -

Title: Automating Searching with STNextTM: Introductory Session

Abstract: This introductory e-Seminar will be the first of two online classes which focuses on alerts and scripts. The second session will concentrate on more complex case studies utilizing scripts to encode sophisticated alerts including structure searches.

This opening session will give you an overview of the possibilities to automate searches in STNext. We will discuss how to set up manual and automatic alerts in single and multi-database environments and exemplify how to easily receive results of alert runs through STNext.
Scripts allow you to automate searches by encoding the full STN command language, assigning variables and allowing for user prompts. We will outline the benefits of STN scripts and its applications for e.g. automating searches and creating powerful semi-automatic alerts and analyses.
As a result of this online class, you will be able to set up alerts and generate your own basic scripts for automating searches in STNext.
