Congratulations to CE-PIUG on their 10th anniversary and their first conference.  I just returned from representing PIUG at the meeting and had a wonderful time.  I want to thank the CE-PIUG board for inviting me.  It was a great meeting.  There was quite a bit of discussion about AI and how it will affect our profession.  I think that the consensus is that we will survive it but that we need to keep our skills current.  We heard about new products from WIPO and the EPO.  We heard about the QPIP Certification, which is ready to start.  There was a panel discussion on training and education of patent searching professionals.  As usual, I saw some old friends and made some new ones.  Go to http://www.cepiug.org/ for more information.

  1. Many thanks to the PIUG for the collaboration over the years, and to its Chair Martha Yates for having attended the CEPIUG 10th Year Anniversary Conference as very welcome guest.

Establishment of the ISBQPIP is a first achievement of common projects, but we very look forward to many others in the future.
