The PTRCA Journal (JPTRCA) publishes articles and reviews in the area of intellectual property - primarily relating to patents and trademarks - of interest to information specialists in the field. It serves as a means to share related research, successful programs, and book reviews.

The scope of publications is broad: Authors can submit to the Journal in the areas of:

*       patent analysis

*       Intellectual Property (IP) practice

*       search strategies

*       open source and industry standards tied to patents

*       innovation

*       history of IP

*       patents and trademarks licensing

*       scholarly communications and/or frameworks for information literacy related to patents

*       IP librarianship

*       or other areas.

World count for scholarly articles is a minimum of 2,000 words. Manuscripts for featured or "from the field" articles should be between 500 and 1000 words
